Elevate takes place over the first weekend of October each year. With a focus on health and wellness, the purpose of Elevate is to partner with local businesses to provide community members a unique opportunity to learn and sample the many wellness venues Cochrane has to offer. Additionally, business owners get the unique opportunity to have new people walk through their door to sample what they offer.

 

Participating wellness businesses will be opening their doors during Elevate to offer a free class, workshop, seminar or service sampling. Elevate ticket holders will travel from one business location to the next within Cochrane to experience the offerings of their choice using the event scheduling platform. There will be multiple offerings at each time frame so that there are different options to accommodate participant’s interest. 

 

Not only are businesses with a store-front in Cochrane invited to provide their offerings, but Cochrane home-based entrepreneurs are also invited to participate. Elevate utilizes a designated space as the home-base for these businesses to run their classes, workshops and offerings. This space is offered at no extra charge.

 

Elevate begins with a Friday night special event called We Are Cochrane. We Are Cochrane is a Ted Talk style event where four Cochrane locals share their captivating personal stories. The audience can expect to get real and raw with the people that make up this incredible town. Each speaker will share their heartfelt accounts of hardship and triumph, grief and joy, difficult learning curves and deep insights…but most significantly, they will hear the stories of how this community played a part in the process.  This is a special night to kick off the weekend as it establishes intimacy and connection.

Elevate wellness businesses are encouraged to participate in our regular networking events throughout the year. These events will be a night where you get to fill your own cup up, inform other businesses of what you offer and find opportunities for collaboration. Wellness businesses of Cochrane unite!
